Hispanic Heritage Month Block Party

Hispanic Heritage Month Block Party

September 20, 2025

The City of Cathedral City and the Cathedral City Senior Center invite you to a vibrant celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month in the heart of our community. This special event brings together music, dance, food, and valuable resources in a festive and family-friendly atmosphere.

The celebration kicks off at 11:00 AM with remarks from the Mayor and City Council, followed by captivating performances from Ballet Folklórico and Mark Guerrero with his band. Guests can enjoy delicious food from local food trucks, while exploring booths hosted by organizations dedicated to serving the Hispanic community, including Forrest Lawn, El Sol Neighborhood Education Center, Read With Me, and TODEC.

Thanks to the generous support of Forrest Lawn and Desert Recreation District (DRD), attendees can also enjoy engaging family activities such as the traditional Lotería game and hands-on craft stations. This event offers the perfect opportunity for residents to connect with local resources, celebrate Hispanic culture, and come together as a community. La Michoacana will be giving out free paletas to the first 100 people!

Whether you come for the music, the food, the activities, or the resources, the Hispanic Heritage Month Block Party & Resource Fair promises an afternoon of joy, culture, and connection for all.
