Inspired by the Joe and Gigi Roberson Mineral Collection, we invite young geologists to discover more about several selected minerals. During each session, we'll highlight and examine a specific stone. Sessions stand alone, so patrons may attend one or all three.
Amethyst is a variety of quartz found in geodes. Participants will learn facts about these purple colored stones, visit the mineral collection to see examples up close, and create their own model geode.
