Enjoy a day in the Sunnylands Gardens for a Family Day focusing on communication through creativity and building bonds between families.
Sunday, February 9, from 9 am to 2 pm
Learn about special techniques that surround weaving and fabric arts while participating in activities with the following organizations and artists:
- Community Dyeing and Collaborative Weaving Project lead by Adriana Lopez-Ospina
- Tapestry creations with the Scrap Gallery
- Weaving and spinning demonstration with Desert Weavers & Spinners
- Upcycled embroidery by Toofbush
- Shashiko embroidery demonstration and lesson with Covet
- Connecting the Knots Collective Macrame Piece with Milu Hand Crafted
- Make a Creative Zine Experience facilitated by Bobo Palm Springs Stationery
All Family Day activities are free of charge. Admission and parking are free. Reservations not required. Program changes may require the cancellation or rescheduling of some events.
Outdoor programs may be canceled or modified due to weather conditions, including rain, lightning, or strong winds.
