This October, the City’s Concerts in the Park series returns with an incredible lineup of performances celebrating the music of iconic artists and legendary bands Thursdays at 6 p.m. From retro grooves and rock anthems to country classics and Beatlemania, the series promises something for every musical taste — free for all to enjoy.
The series kicks off with high-energy fun on Thursday, October 2, as Pulp Vixen opens the series with the biggest hits from the 1980s to today. Performing hits from Madonna to Bruno Mars and everything in between, this dynamic all-female band is known for its powerhouse vocals and infectious stage presence. Get ready to sing, dance, and kick off the season in style.
Show up prepared to shake your groove thing on October 9, as BEACH St. A GoGo! takes the amphitheater stage with a throwback show featuring all of your favorite hits from the 1960s. This lively tribute band delivers an authentic retro sound and an upbeat atmosphere that will have you singing along to the top hits from a decade of music that helped shape modern pop culture.
Fortunate Son brings the unmistakable sound of Creedence Clearwater Revival and John Fogerty to Civic Center Park on October 16, for a night of timeless rock nostalgia. Known for their authentic sound, look, and stage presence, the band channels the genuine energy and soulful spirit that made CCR one of the most influential bands of their era. From the swampy rhythm of “Born on the Bayou” to the country twang of “Bad Moon Rising” and unforgettable rock anthems like “Proud Mary,” this tribute celebrates the legendary catalog that helped shape the sound of American rock.
Grab your hat and your boots (spurs optional) and ride on over October 23, to experience a night of boot-scootin’ fun as The Silverados roll into town with a crowd-pleasing mix of classic and contemporary country hits. From Tim McGraw and Brad Paisley to Shania Twain and Carrie Underwood, this talented group keeps the energy high and the dance floor moving, so don’t be shy about showing off your two-step or line dancing skills.
The series wraps up on October 30, with a fab finale as Britain’s Finest recreates the magic of the Beatles with such accuracy, you’ll feel like you've been transported back to the days of the British Invasion. From their familiar outfits and authentic vocals to their cheeky humor and onstage banter, this internationally known tribute band delivers a full Beatles experience that takes you on a journey through the group’s legendary career.
In addition to great music, concertgoers can enjoy delicious culinary creations offered by the weekly on-site food truck, or bring a picnic along with blankets or lawn chairs. Please note that alcohol and smoking are not permitted in the park.
