Civic Center Park is the place to be for unforgettable music and incredible performances in October, as the City of Palm Desert Concerts in the park series returns every Thursday of the month from 6 – 7:30 p.m. The fall lineup features a wide variety of favorites that are sure to thrill audiences of all ages and musical tastes, along with a special Halloween performance the entire family can enjoy!
The fun starts on Thursday, October 3, with Gypsy Dreams, paying tribute to the eclectic sounds of pop-rock legends Fleetwood Mac. The band’s high-energy stage presence, authentic costumes, and perfect harmonies will take you back to the heyday of ‘The Mac’ and have you singing along to your favorites.
Come prepared to show off your best dance moves on October 10, when Latinova takes the amphitheater stage to perform crowd-pleasing Latin Jazz favorites full of rhythm, vibrance, and fun.
Get a little funky on October 17, as OC Groove stops by with soulful singers and a full horn section to perform iconic R&B, Rock, and Blues hits from artists like Chicago, KC and the Sunshine Band, Tower of Power, Koo & the Gang, and more!
The series continues October 24, with one of the most unique Country music experiences you will find anywhere, when Wild West performs the hottest hits ever made by the lady superstars of Country, playing favorites from Shania Twain, Carrie Underwood, Martina McBride, and many more. Line dancing is encouraged!
And we’re wrapping up the month with the biggest Halloween party in Palm Desert on October 31! Dress up and come out to Civic Center Park for a very special performance from Dead Man’s Party, a tribute to Experimental Rock pioneers Oingo Boingo. Endorsed by members of the original band, Dead Man’s Party recreates Oingo Boingo’s famous Southern California Halloween concerts, along with your favorite 80’s New Wave Hits.
In addition to live music under the stars, concertgoers will find food trucks at Civic Center Park for each of the shows. Treat your taste buds to the mouthwatering culinary creations offered by these mobile eateries or bring your picnic baskets along with your blankets or lawn chairs to enjoy the shows. Alcoholic beverages and smoking are prohibited.
The City extends its thanks to the Desert Recreation District for its support of this year’s Fall Concert Series. Thanks also go out to the members of Palm Desert’s Citizens on Patrol (COPS) for volunteering to patrol Civic Center Park during the concerts.
