Join SoCal Adaptive Sports and Friends of the Desert Mountains volunteers on a hike for persons with disabilities, their family, and friends in Carrizo Canyon.
This canyon offers a challenge with its soft sandy soil, and small to large rocks to step over, step on and go around. Carrizo Canyon is a geologic wonder and is in the Peninsular Bighorn Sheep Preserve. Hike rating is easy to moderate, approximately 2.5 miles round trip. Elevation gain approximately 300 feet.
Bring snacks, 2 liters of water per person and your hiking poles. Wear close-toed shoes, sun hat and sunscreen.
