Explore this 1.0-mile loop trail in historic Indian Canyons. You will pass some great picnic areas as you hike along Andreas Creek.
We begin the hike at Andreas Creek near the grinding stone. Keep your eyes out for the interesting red rock formations above the oasis-like vegetation on your right during the first half of the trail. We will loop up to a desert-like terrain overlooking Andreas Creek.
Bring your picnic lunch as we will return by way of the picnic tables and restrooms. Sorry no dogs are allowed on this trail. There is an entry fee for this hike.
RSVP is required and you must bring your ticket with you for check-in 15 minutes prior to start time. Space is limited. Ticket reservations begin 14 days prior to the event. A suggested nonrefundable donation of $5.00 per person is appreciated and encouraged to support our volunteer programs. For more information contact the Visitor Center at 760-862-9984.
We will meet at the Andreas Canyon Trailhead parking lot near the trailhead sign/grinding rock area in the small cactus garden. Allow extra time to purchase your entry at the Indian Canyons entrance gate.
